Inhale four dimensions—
an expanse like desert sand,
a second body of heat brushing lips to skin.

The cry of kingfishers resounds
heartbeats on spindly legs
with feathers catching
one hundred summers of wind:

Exhale—
a sandstorm
fills and empties
hourglass tulip bulbs.
